Can’t be a sec coach for 18 months wonder if that means head coach or asst

I guess the buyout prevents him from taking transfer players or recruits

Honesty I think he ends up at a Nichols or nw state type job

If I read correctly he cannot be a HC for any institution in the geographic confines of the SEC

So he’s getting full buyout

He gets his buyout, but he has to do stuff that would prevent him from coaching elsewhere for the next 4 years as an LSU employee. If he can't fulfill his employment obligations to LSU, he loses 3 million per year. At that amount, I don't see anyone hiring him.

There’s literally zero chance LSU and boosters pay him the full 17 million. Will be more like 6 million

Never thought he'd get it all but I never really cared. Claiming the rant will meltdown is ridiculous. Just shows had bad LUS wanted this meathead out the door. Good riddance to this piece of shite.

Number 6 is pretty important and is why he will get the full payment. It would be hard to make a “for cause” case but Woodward could have just to fight for a lower settlement. He would rather pay him than antagonize him.

New employment agreement. Ed is LSU's newest employee.

(see section d)

You mean Section 4.d. And that doesn’t mean he’s a new employee.

You’re an idiot.

O is getting every penny. You think Woodard wants to end up in that ‘fishing hole’

I dont think you realize it is done, signed sealed, and delivered. There is no more walking it back.

It’s like you’re trying to read something into the contract that isn’t there.

1. This contract renders his extension signed in 2020 void

2. The first payment on this new contract isn’t due until 12/15

3. He’s finishing the season as head coach, so a new contract is obviously necessary to address compensation between now and 12/15

4. This contract prevents him from being employed by any SEC school as a coach in any capacity for 18 months. That means Saban (or anyone else in the SEC) can’t hire him as an analyst. That means he can’t recruit for any other SEC schools

None of this is complicated. Stop trying to make it that way or try to convince yourself LSU did something stupid here.

What's the deal with the public appearances on behalf of LSU athletics in 2022? That seems weird.

I assume that means if they want him to do any sort of appearance for the 2019 team, or something along those lines, he can’t tell us to frick off

How did this guy get this info

LSU is a public school and it’s readily available upon request. For some schools, you can pull up these contracts online very easily

This contract “literally” says otherwise.

I don't believe that. It may be what the media is told, but I doubt LSU doesn't have and use all the extra curricular nonsense surrounding O the last year and half, and pay him everything. Totally unnecessary and I don't believe it......but LSU has done some dumb things, so it may be true.
