Quite a few claiming to be "in the know" have been spotting this nonsense for the past week. Any belief it comes to pass?
I highly doubt it, personally. I think a loss tomorrow night, especially an ugly loss, is the end. If they look competitive it might buy some time till after Ole Miss skull drags us.

It'll be the bye week if it happens in-season. No sources, but that's what makes the most sense from just about every angle.

It’s obviously not going to be the Friday before a game. It’s likely tomorrow evening/Sunday or next week before the bye

That said, The reasons behind firing at an “inopportune/inconvenient time” (Friday before a game) - in contrast to firing after a loss - do make a lot of legal/buyout sense though.

If he gets fired mid season it's probably going to be on a Sunday or bye week. They aren't going to let him go through a week of activities/preparation and then fire him before the game.

The uglier it is, the sooner things happen. With remaining games, it would be interesting how the team reacts. Interim coach, Corey Raymond I guess.

Doing it today means they don’t care about the money and that they probably have some credible evidence of wrongdoing.
Waiting until after Dec 1 saves the program over $3mm so that makes the most sense fiscally.
