Lincoln Riley = Arch Manning commitment

This guy can flat out recruit, coach and develop QBs. Currently has 3 starting QBs in league after only 5 years as HC. Two trophies and two 1st overall picks. Can’t imagine Arch doesn’t break the Manning/LSU sigma if Woodward can pull off this hire.
Also, worst case scenario, we don’t get Arch but one of his two stub QBs transfers with him. And that’s not even counting that we already have Walker and Nuss waiting in the wings.

I don't follow recruiting like some on this board but this continual Arch Manning speculation is getting silly.
The only thing that would open up even a remote possibility of his committing to LSU would be Howard signing somewhere else.
Assuming Howard is firm Manning is not going to risk sitting the bench for two years, maybe three.
I just hope with the dumpster fire O has made of the program we hold on to those recruits we have.

I have seen Howard and Arch both play multiple times. Howard is better right now and it’s not even close

Arch is a good QB, but his last name has him ranked way higher than he should be

Arch and Newman put up a whopping 7 points last night. They also got nearly shut out in playoff game last year which they lost 21-7.
I think Arch is good, but if he didn't have that last name he'd be a 4 star right now based on his play. He puts up big stats against the bad teams Newman plays then gets overwhelmed against the good teams.
Manning went 16 for 28, 134 yards 1 TD and a pick last night

Not that Manning isn’t talented. If he were to sign with the good guys he would get splinters in his rear end until Howard decided it was time to move on.

I'm sorry, but what I saw last night wasn't worthy of the hype that kid is getting. He may be good, but he is far from great. Just my .02

This board needs to chill out with the Arch shite. It's not happening and it wasn't going to.

Arch has one bad game and you think he's not worth the hype?

Sounds good.
We could get Venable (from Clemson) as DC
Aranda as DL coach
Belichick to coach Linebackers
Saban to coach secondary

Wrong on both. Riley aint leavin OU and Manning will be in Texas.
We got better with Howard.

develop QBs.
Riley's days of producing Heisman winning QBs will be over as soon as OU enters the SEC. Why? Because he won't be able to run up the score against second-rate competition anymore in the SEC to pad his QB's numbers as he was able to do in the second-rate Big 12 conference. Those days will be over.

In the Big 12 conference, Riley was a good head coach. In the SEC conference, Riley is an average coach at best.
I sure hope Woodward doesn't go after Riley because that guy can't coach a team that can play defense for nothing, and in the SEC, if you can't produce teams with good defenses, then your days are very numbered.

Yeah I guess Kyler, Baker, and Jalen all had padded stats and that’s shown in the NFL. Oh wait Kyler may be MVP, Baker took his team to the playoffs, and Jalen is getting better and better every game. Caleb Williams looks like he’s about to take over CFB. Just because Rattler has struggled doesn’t mean he’s not a QB guru anymore. 4/5 stud QB’s ain’t bad.

Where did I say they weren't good QB's? I said that Riley won't be able to run up the scores on second-rate competition anymore in the SEC like he was able to do in the second-rate Big 12. So his days of producing Heisman winning QBs are over.
