That's 100% believable. Even if it's fake, it's still probably true.

Why would he pay for experts when he has complete amateurs in his family?

I happen to be tight with a couple people in the building. Have been friends with 1 of them in particular my entire life and like friends tend to do, we discuss things that are interesting at work. Obviously, I tend to use discretion or speak in code here if I happen to know certain things. This Zion weight thing has been a hot topic for a long time though and just thought people would like to be able to confirm what they have been seeing with their own eyes the last few years.
The mom being his nutritionist is a bit overblown. Covid played a bit into that being the case at times. But he has had several professionals hired at times and at times he’s followed their direction to a T. At times, not so much. Z is a human. He’s 21, he loves basketball and he admittedly likes to eat, when the weight issue crops up it’s generally injury/stress related. When Z gets hurt, he goes into a bit of a hole like most people would do, and he definitely deviates from his usual diet. Part of what makes Zion, Zion, is family so when he is down and can’t play basketball, you are damn straight he is going to go back to his comfort zone, eat some home cooked meals and go hang out at his happy place, Duke.
Is his stepfather his Trainer? Again overblown. Covid influenced part of this. Z also trains with Pelicans staff throughout the year if there are no Covid restrictions and if he is healthy enough to do so.
Zion really is a good dude overall. In some ways he is more mature than any of us will ever have to be in our lives and in other ways he is still a kid, and in even other ways, he is just like everyone else. Everyone gets down in the dumps from time to time. Everyone deviates from their diet from time to time. But not everyone is in the public eye like Zion. Hell, 99.99% of professional athletes are not in the public eye the way Zion is. Personally, I’d be exhausted as well.

I mean not really, other than a few endorsement commercials he really isn’t. He is lucky that he doesn’t play for a big market because the media would destroy his fat arse for constantly be out of shape

He’s talked about constantly by social media, local media, national media, and fans. Sure it would be amplified in a place like New York or LA, but not much more than it already is. Dude has not had a normal life since he was 15/16 years old. Sure that’s a blessing, but it’s also exhausting. Most people can’t handle that level of attention and still perform the way Z does out on the court.

Do you know why Zion is not around the team ?
Posted on 10/15/21 at 10:04 pm to Honest Man
During the offseason? Because of other obligations from sponsors.
He's been with the team the past month or so with rehab and such.

This corresponds to the eye test and supports what I’ve heard first hand from people in the Pels organization, namely that Zion’s weight has been all over the place since he was drafted. I was actually told he gained 15 pounds after leaving bubble in 2020, but I never heard specific weights.
Charles Barkley came into the NBA at 300 pounds after playing as a 6’6” center at Auburn. He also had incredible hops for his size and was a force from the start of his career. But it only took him one season—and some tough love from veteran teammates—to accept that he couldn’t play at that weight and get down to around 260 pounds. Charles was a little older than Zion, but Z needs to get real about conditioning on the pro level. He’s bigger than Chuck was but Pels need to—PUBLICLY—give him a weigh in number/bf% and then PUBLICLY announce his numbers. No more hiding in the shadows on this. Z obviously needs a push to get there, with there being at or below playing weight of 275 pounds or below, with ongoing fines for every day he’s over. He will thank you in the long run…

Do you know why Zion just tells his family members to chill out with the news? I get he is tired of the attention but his family makes his life more stressful by leaking things And adding more pressure on him

Why does no one ever see him working out in the off season?
Does he have a trainer for the times when he isn't with the pels?

Z is an old school guy. He doesn’t care about social media or flexing on social media all that much. He’s similar to Ingram. The only thing Z posts on social is Endorsement stuff, pictures from Pels games, and some Duke Basketball.

Usually yes, the exception being the Covid summer and also times when he is injured. But yes, he does work with trainers other than his stepfather under normal circumstances. Problem is, the circumstances have not been normal half of the time.

I know black is slimming, but either he's lost weight or his girdle is working overtime.
