Because most don’t know that your waist is where your bellybutton is, and has nothing to do with your pants size. My buddy thinks he is in good shape because he still wears 32” jeans, but he can’t see his shoes for the gut, hanging over his belt.

I keep waiting for this to sink in, but nope
Six pages, and not a single poster thinks he has a waist size near average.

Unless you have recently been fitted for a suit, most don't know this measurement. I was curious on mine, so I did mine with a string over my work clothes. 38"
