I get that blaming everything on Biden is both funny and mostly true, but the used/new car problems have little to nothing to do with either administration. Supply is constrained, plain and simple. Started with massive demand during the pandemic as people moved out of cities and needed vehicles, wiping out most inventories. Since then, the chip shortage has meant new vehicles can’t sniff pre-pandemic levels, so everything that rides on 4 wheels has skyrocketed.
It’s multifaceted, but I’m cool with blaming Biden.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Just amazes me people would willingly buy anything right now knowing that car prices have nearly doubled within a year. What happens in 3 years when hopefully all of this has died down and you want to trade in or sell vehicle and they tell your car is worth so much less than you paid for it? Using example of car i used. 3 years from now you have 180k -200k miles on the car and want to sell . Potential Buyer is like i'll give you 3k for it. You're like i spent 16k for it 3 years ago. That's gonna hurt especially when most cars already depreciate right when you drive them off the lot.

I would be genuinely interested in getting an explanation for how this one is on the Biden admin. Logistics are absolutely fricked across the entire world, from manufacturing to shipping, from raw materials to SOCs. Plenty of shite to blame Biden for these days, but this one just doesn't seem reasonable or logical in any way. But if I'm missing something, someone let me know

I mean I thought he was the smartest motherfricker on the planet and could solve all our problems. Well, that's what all the little babies offended by a mean tweet say.
So far the only thing this administration has been capable of is shitting the bed. Not sure how that helps but apparently it's all they know.

A year ago I bought an F150 for $43K (stickered around $55K). 2 weeks ago I traded it on a Mach 1 - got $46K for the truck, and they are selling it for $52K (1 yr. old, 16K miles). They had only 1 new F150 on the lot.
Trucks that are the same make, model, year, mileage, and trim level as my truck are selling at about the same price I bought my truck three years ago. Which is the only silver lining that my truck hasn't lost much value compared to any other car I have had. Although it wouldn't shock me the bottom will eventually fall out in the form of a economic disaster.

I mean he’s literally had his hand in decisions for 50 years. He’s one of the few you can absolutely blame for everything.
Like becoming reliant on foreign companies.
This dude was in politics before I was born.

I’m not saying unions, minimum wage, regulation, or safety standards are bad things.
But when you do so much of them that everybody says “F this. We’re going to go set up shop elsewhere, deal with their regulation, their taxes, tariffs, shipping, etc. instead of just making stuff here, you’ve failed.
Not saying Biden is entirely to blame, but he was in office 50 years and this has never been a concern of his. But Trump at least saw this as a problem. He has his (giant) flaws but he was dead on with addressing our relying on foreign manufacturing.
