I saw one for BR, but would there be a good financial advisor in the Lafayette area?

What kind of advice are you needing?

I know two personally. They're both friends.
But I've never used them myself.

Just my two cents, but I would look for an RIA as opposed to a broker-dealer. RIAs have a fiduciary duty, have less conflicts of interest compared to BDs, and won’t try to sell you products. If you are specifically interested in retirement planning, you may want to find one who is a CFP as well.

Only use a CFP. If your bank currently has one on staff then use them for the convenience. If not, then search letsmakeaplan LINK CFPs will have the experience, education, and ethics you'll need for retirement planning.
They are a bunch in the laffy area.

Met with the Burge group yesterday in Lafayette. Hal and Randy Burge. They're on south college.

There are CFP RIAs and CFP brokers. Generally a rep who work for a bank is a broker. As a previous post said I prefer the unbiased advice of an RIA.
