Woodward Needs to Redeem Himself

This won't be a popular opinion because so much hope to rectify things is in Woodward but he's a big part of the reason we're between a rock and a hard place.
He basically reinforced Alleva's bad hire by giving O a contract and buyout way above O's real football value.
Question: has there ever been a coach more overpaid in the history of CFB? Name one.
Cause that's on Woodward.

That’s market for a national championship. He didn’t really have a choice.

This is such an old and tired take. There is no scenario where the national championship winning coach doesn’t get a raise to be among the top in college football. Yes, even if no one else is coming to get him. That is reality.

He won a NC and Woodward gave him a buyout worth less than 50% his total contract.
Compared To O’s prior buy out which, this is about 4 million more, after a NC

Jesus some of y’all are dumb as shite. It doesn’t matter who was the AD at the time; every AD in the country is giving a coach an extension and raise under those circumstances.
