BREAKING: Kaiser Permanente will suspend 5,000 employees who refuse its mandate to get the COVID vaccine. Unscientific tyranny continues.

Is it a paid suspension? Seems ideal if so.

There are only 5000 hold-outs of 304,000 employees?
That's a jam-up 98.5% vaccination rate.

And this underscores the level of control Kaiser truly has. Kaiser controls insurance, pharmacy, and is a very very strict network. I don't know the specifics because we never deal with them directly, but for limited distribution meds (mostly new drugs, drugs for rare conditions, and strictly regulated drugs) if they can't get the drug wholesale (they do get wholesale with the drugs I deal with), their patients just don't get it.

My wife did a travel assignment for one of their hospitals in Los Angeles County. She would rather quit than work for them again.

That isn’t tyranny.
It’s stupid, but it’s not tyranny. It’s a private employer.

quote:I'd argue it’s tyrannical in nature as a condition of employment. Obviously it’s not law, they can quit, but it is tyrannical based on the draconian nature of consequences set for not taking part in a medical experiment.

Meh. Their property, their rules. You have no right to work there, as you would have rights under a tyrannical government.

Heard an interview with a lady that was let go in the 1st one of these...Houston Methodist. She's a part of a group lawsuit. She said that religious and medical exemptions we're just getting rejected with no real reason. To the point that Drs didn't want to do them as they were concerned with the backlash.
No standards/rules at all for any of this and all just subjective. Why none of it should stand imo.
Southwest Airlines just jumped on the mandatory train because they are "considered" a govt contractor

Is there government mandates/involvement? If not, it’s not that either.
