I just spent an hour trying to buy tires. I hope y’all have some stashed somewhere. Nothing special just some All Terrains. I had to settle for my 4th choice in tires. Frick Covid and it’s endless supply chain disruptions.

Who needs tires when you've got treads!?
Infrastructure going to shite. You need a set of treads like me so you can get to and fro without the muss and fuss of air inflated balloon donuts.

My wife is in logistics for a rubber manufacturer. The issues in shipping and resourcing of materials is real. A few weeks ago they couldn't find shipping containers. Now they can't get the ships into the port fast enough. Its a cluster. Every time one thing catches up, another lags.
ETA: they also can't make material fast enough. I hear about orders being pushed for several months.

Containers and ships wouldn't be a big deal if tahrs were still made in Ohio...

None of this shite is the virus' fault.

I have been trying to sell my used tires off my truck when I upgraded to KO2s over a month ago. No bites on NextDoor or Craigslist. You'd think someone in one in the Metropolex would need some cheap tires.

What did you buy that was difficult to get?

Tahrs can still be made in Ohio, but the natural resources have to get thar first.
I see you're not a "big picture" guy

Trump would be working around the clock to make damn sure we didn’t have all these shortages.
Just saying.
Just saying.

There are material shortages on EVERYTHING. I ordered lunch and asked for potato salad as my side. I was told there is a potato salad shortage... like really

Inflation
Shipping issues
Supply chain issues
Worker issues
And the stock market keeps going up.
None of this shite makes any sense.

I have a vendor that has over 250,000 tires sitting in a container yard in Thailand with no space on any of the ships to get them to America. There really isn't a shortage of tires globally, but a shortage of available space on container ships. Covid, tariffs, duties, and supply chain issues are causing a perfect storm in tire industry right now.

I just purchased a new set of Michelin tires at Costco. It took about two weeks to get them shipped to the store. They were $440 installed.
