Last season he had the best WR and TE talent he will have in his career, and finished with a 57.1% completion rating and a 1:1 TD-INT ratio. He topped that off with some of y’all stating he was a “Run Threat” with a poor 1.2 yrds per carry, the dude had a season long run of 10 yards. I feel bad for Finley because right now LSU has 18 sacks on the season (leading the country in sacks) without blitzing. Blitz season is coming and Finely is tigerbait. He can’t handle the heat.

Didn’t have concrete feet on his game winning TD last week

I hope you're right,
I'm afraid if they are able to buy him some time, he is going to light us up over the middle

The problem is if he starts then this will be his first game starting for them. If I remember right, he did pretty good in his first game for us and then steadily declined. If I was Auburn, he would be starting. But most of that would be because Nix sucks and always has.

Do you go off of one game or a body of work? I take history over one game. Anyone recall the hype of him after the Carolina game?

You can say that, however this isn’t the same defense that he was practicing against last year or really the spring.

You do realize he was a true freshman who played due to injury, right? He was good in a few games and was bad in a few others. I don't know if he has improved or not, but true freshmen QBs often improve. He has a great arm, but accuracy is the issue. And he's not really slow considering his size. He may not be fast, but I've seen much slower QBs.

Hopefully we'll keep him uncomfortable back there.

It’s going to come down to if we can stop their run.

UCLA has a horrible QB but they ran it down our throats. their QB didn’t run it either. So we will have to be ready for that.

100% you’re right. The front 7 have to win their matchups to win this.

His body of work is like 5 games and he looked decent in half and terrible in half.

He want start if he doesn’t do good, Bo will get mad, the fans will say stupid decision, He will come off the bench quickly though if Nix falters. He is NOT starting too much pressure on everyone Auburn, Coach, & TJ

His best completion rating was the SC game at 81% every other game was under 64%. That 81% kept his completion percentage up.

He was at 64.3% against Arkansas

Max has 3 games with a completion rate over 64%. 2 of them were CMU and McNeese this year.

Are you still trying to make Johnson and Finley comparisons?

Been burned big time in that great DBU with our safety play and our regularly out of position LBs.
Finley may rip us to shreds if we are not playing full force with great coaching.

He led a game winning 98 yard touchdown drive in his first significant action at Auburn. Sure Auburn got bailed out by the refs, but it's still impressive.

I don't really care about what he did last season, he looks like he could be a dangerous QB this season. For having "concrete cleats" he had more rushing yards than Max Johnson last week and looks extremely difficult to bring down.

Hopefully LSU can get pressure on him early and force him into mistakes and bad throws. Get him rattled, get the crowd into it, make Auburn self implode.
