How many thought that was a personal foul. I thought that was a bs call.

I am a LSU fan and it was a close call, so of course I thought it was a bad call.
If that call was on Auburn instead of LSU I would have thought it was a great call.

It was a personal foul. Good call by the refs, bad play by Shep.

personal foul, not even close, he threw him down well out of bounds, miles agreed.

I don't know so much after watching replays Sheppard was in the process of throwing the guy out of bounds. It was a borderline call. The only major call (or lack of) I really didn't like was the lack of grounding in the first half when Todd threw the ball about three yards to avoid a huge sack. The refs missed that call.

I don't think Sheppard intentionally threw him I just think he was being aggressive and didn't realize where he was when he did it.

it was the right call... he could have let go, b/c at that point that he slung the guy, he could see he was out of bounds and his momentum wasn't carrying him through the play....
now that roughing the passer call was complete horseshite... alem had already left his feet when todd threw the ball, so you know he couldn't stop himself and it was a second after the ball was released when he got hit...

Easy call. No question about it.
The roughing the passer call on the other hand...

It was one of Sheppard's few mistakes though. The guy went all out on every play. He is going to be a great LB for us for years to come.
To Shep..

No doubt a personal foul.

If he would have just hit him that would have been one thing, but to start and swing him all the way around while out of bounds makes it an easy call.

it was technically a legit call, but i think the rule is BS, if u have your hands on the guy finish the damn play.

I think it was more his momentum, cause he hit him in bounds. I don't believe it was intentional

Don't think it was intentional, but still a good call.

if he wouldn't have spun the Auburn player around and then thrown him on the ground 5 yards out of bounds, it wouldn't have been called. But, it wasn't just a shove or tackle that continued out of bounds. He spun around and looked like he was trying to throw the guy as far as he could.
I wouldn't have called it, even if it was against another team. But, it wasn't a bad call.

Dude, he swung him around like a circus clown well after they were out of bounds.

Yea, the BS call was the roughing the passer call on Auburn's last drive. Even the Auburn fans around us said so.

the called looked legit to me.

i thought those were border line, this and the roughing the passer.
IMO for a late hit to be called it needs to be bad. you start calling pusssy flags and then the d's have to let up.
im ok with the one on sheppard but the roughing the passer had me snap esp after they missed a int. grounding big time. though fwiw the refs were great in this game outside those 2 calls.
