Robert K. Is not the only one:

Never heard of the Fed not able to buy T-bills just by printing (digitizing).

Poorly worded... I do not know if the tweet is saying there will be a shortage of T-bills... OR that they are going to short T-bills...

I think he’s saying that they are betting on higher rates, they’ve been artificially holding them down by buying excess 10 years. They just said they weren’t going to taper before likely December, so this would be the opposite of what they are said to be doing.

It's coming one way or another. But a stock market collapse will just make the reality of enormous government spending justified in the minds of many.

Well generally speaking, a market crash is a self fulfilling situation. When it is proffered as a concern in the media...it generally makes itself happen by creating its own panic then voila, you have a crash!

Well, they have to make more of the population dependent on the government and willing to accept a little trimming of the fat on the civil liberties... What better way to do that than to make it where you cannot buy what you need, even if you have the cash?

Shorting a financial instrument, in this case Treasury Bills, means to take a position where you "sell" or "go short" in the futures markets. It is a prediction that they will be less valuable in the future at which time you will then "buy" them, collecting the profit on the "short sell"..

And then democrats will call the crash the "new economy" and "new normal".
