Scooped up a 180 gallon fish tank off Facebook and threw together a new stand this morning.
Good thing you built a nice metal stand for it because that better be one hell of a well built cabinet in the second pic to hold that aquarium.
With water weighing just over 8 lbs. per gallon, the gravel in the bottom of the tank, all the little structures people put in them, etc. and you're talking 1500+ lbs. of dead weight.
Nice work on the stand by the way. Looks very solid and nicely designed. I suspect you've done this a time or 20.

The metal stand is what it came with. The cabinet is what I built. It has 16 vertical 2x4s and the top is made of 2x6s. Could easily hold up my truck.

Are you planning on a saltwater if freshwater aquarium?
If a saltwater tank, look at a sump tank below in the cabinet for ease in cleaning (sump may not be the correct term).
I had a saltwater and cleaning it, replacing once a week got to be a huge pain.
But, when I actually tried, it was a beautiful tank.

I’m just gonna do freshwater. Looking at stocking it with ~60 Lake Malawi Haps/Peacocks.
I’ve always wanted to try saltwater but don’t think a 180 is where I want to start

At least one urinal.
If you are going to have buddies over drinking this is a must have imo. Unless you have a maid or just like being on your hands and knees cleaning up over spray.

That's awesome. Love the fly rods mounted on the wall.
Also, your puppy in the back looks like he/she is about to find something to chew on lol
