I hate everything about the Squad, but why are we paying for this? They should be paying us.

Jews constitute 50% of all donations to Democrats. They also constitute 25% of all donations to the GOP.
They are 2% of the population.
The United States is an oligarchy.
Those figures tell you that a large portion of the Oligarchy is Jewish.
Oligarchies are perhaps the worst form of government. They’re incredibly disconnected from the needs of the people, and the nations they rule. Oligarchies are inevitably selfish. Pursuing the narrow social and financial interest of the elite.
It has a lot to do with class.
They’re drawn from financial elites, the merchant class, they are socially and thus physically disconnected from the poor and the middle class.
But it’s a serious problem when the oligarchs don’t share the values and culture of the people they rule.
If I don’t understand or see myself in the people I command, then I can not rule them effectively, because I can not accurately judge their needs or wants. It’s also much harder to have empathy for people who are “not like me.”
Odds are, I will pursue selfish policies instead that promote my group, at their expense. And ensure my continued dominance.

Lol never thought I would side with AOC, so we should be printing money to underwrite Israel's defense budget?????
That money is getting spent, somewhere.
Personally, I’d rather spend it on helping Israel defend itself from cowards and terrorists who hide behind children than on measuring cow farts and giving to lazy people who won’t work, but, then again, I’m not a dumbass.

I'm ok with cutting this as long as all the other ridiculous foreign aid is cut. However, if everything else is staying then put this back in, at least we know it is actually used and not wasted.

Stupid
We spend a billion to keep terrorists focused on Israel seems like money well spent if not money saved.

OTHER THAN blatant partisanship, why would anyone oppose not funding Israel’s defense when they are more than capable of doing so?
Disclaimer, because it’s needed to have actual conversation on the merits of the issue—AOC is a retard.

It is important to understand that the Squad supports terrorists as a counterbalance to capitalism. Not because of fiscal sanity (they have none). Nor are they America firsters or even non-interventionists.
So we do not agree with them. Even if we don’t want to fund the Israeli iron dome.
So, your opinion boils down to partisan ping pong. Gr8

I think a billion is worth having a single real ally in the region. We give Egypt 1.5 billion a year. Why? So they can threaten Israel?

Al Qaeda and ISIS were never interested in Israel.

No. I’m fine with not funding the Israeli defense. It’s not a victory in that the money isn’t going to a better cause.
If my kid in college doesn’t waste $1000 on backstage passes to Bieber but spends it on cocaine instead, it’s nothing worth celebrating.
Good try though, fig.

It’s the opposite.
It’s a bribe that keeps the peace.
If they went to war, Israel would humiliate them though.

Imagine considering Israel an ally. They are literally not an ally, btw.

Those aren’t the only two outcomes. I probably don’t support however that money will be reallocated. But that has no bearing whatsoever on the fact that we shouldn’t send it to Israel….

But it’s stupid to pretend it’s going to be well spent.

Am I a shortsighted nimrod if I think foreign monetary aid should only be provided in rare/extreme circumstances? At least until we resolve the plethora of issues we have at home.
Posted on 9/21/21 at 7:50 pm to Indefatigable
There’s nobody east of France that could possibly be considered an ally until India. And Biden just screwed them both over.
My point was more so stating we pay way more to what I would deem as hostile nations than a defense system in a country that allows us access to air bases.
I don’t think we should preemptively fund (provide arms) to nations that don’t earn it first.

It could also be used to improve our decaying infrastructure it other things to make our country better. A billion dollars creates a lot of domestic jobs target than just further the military industrial complex.
