Amazing the amount of ignorance in these threads. Good luck “bid shopping” in 2021. The adjusters will tell you to give the estimate to the chosen contractor. Youre only saving the insurance company money, not yourself. Unless you just want to commit fraud which you’ll need the contractor to do as well.
