Six men including a Briton have been arrested off the coast of Plymouth after authorities seized more than two tonnes (2,000kg) of cocaine.

The British man, from Stockton-on-Tees, and five Nicaraguans were arrested on a luxury yacht on Thursday.

The men, aged from 24 to 49, were held on suspicion of drug trafficking and remain in custody, the National Crime Agency (NCA) said.

Officers estimate the street value of the drugs is about £160m.

The group were sailing in the Jamaican-flagged Kahu when they were intercepted 80 miles off the coast, in international waters north of Guernsey.

The yacht, which had sailed from the Caribbean, was intercepted and boarded by specialist Border Force and NCA officers.

Meh, I sometimes worry about the two in Miami, but the west coast ones I do not. 24/7 eyes on (guarded) in Miami, is the reason I don’t worry much.

Everything in the Police statement reads as normal.
What’s bizarre about the entire shitshow is he’s flying a Jamaican ‘red’ flag for one and wtf does he think hes doing smuggling the 5 Nicaraguans ?? Maybe...1 deckhand Nicaraguan is plausible but 5...lmao
That’s not a big fat red flag or anything.

A couple of decades ago, I heard about some Boston banking types. One would buy a new boat in Miami and finance it 99%. He would take it for a cruise around the Gulf, pick up some whatever, suspend it from the hull of the boat, and take it to any eastern port. If he wasn't stopped, pure profit, enough to pay off the boat, which he'd sell and use the sales price on a used boat as a short term capital loss.
If he saw legal types approaching, he'd just cut the cargo loose and it would sink.

Reportedly, this worked for several people.
