They fricking smoked us man. Are you blind? The defense looks just as lost as last year. The offense looks worse.

Against probably the best defense in the country, he didn't play well.

not bad coaching? they knew he was going to be the guy last year. He has had game reps and is one of the most talented qbs out of high school.

LSU never gets a pass for scoring 3 pts or less against a really good defense

I don't get it, is OU supposed to be happy they almost lost to Tulane? Their fans are probably rightfully infuriated.

you don't get it? i am asking you if they are a well coached team

It was hyperbole. Jesus, man.

Canada wasn't the offense he was looking for...are you upset he fired Canada?

I'm upset he wasted an entire football season because he has no clue what he actually wants in an offense.

Answer the other question about this season

Do I think the season is "over" because we lost to a team we shouldn't have? No, we have 11 games left. But our performance was extraordinarily discouraging and any playoff chances we may have had (lol) are probably gone already. Save the "first game with inexperienced QB!" bullshite.

Does any part of that performance give you hope this team can somehow muster more than 7 wins?

he hired a broyles award winner bc his first choice took another job...it didn't work so he corrected it

Yes it was...realistically what were our playoff chances before last week

What does it mean for a fan to "give up"? None of us are on the team. I'm still going to watch every game and cheer for LSU. What are some goals you believe this team can realistically achieve after watching that game? Should we just completely dismiss that game?

"Broyles Award winner" isn't an offensive philosophy. You've successfully proven my point for me that O has no vision or idea of what he wants in an offense.

I don't even know what you're arguing at this point. Make all the excuses you want, it should never be acceptable to get smoked by UCLA. I don't care if they're a top 10 team. We should be able to hang with anyone. Obviously, we cannot.

Nah, his "I've arrived" act after 2019 did him in.

Successful coaches never "arrive." They're always on a quest.

2nd time I post this ...

It's a subconscious admission that he doesn't have the capacity to produce it in 2021. He would have to reproduce 2019. If he could produce it, he would be talking about what it being done in the current. He's not so it's not being done.

He's hanging on to the past bc there is no now nor is there a clear vision for the future. He's lost. His words prove as much.

every goal that i thought they could this time last week. I will not let a first game crush my expectations of this team. I was as pissed as anyone on here with that performance. I still think we can contend for the west...sure my confidence isn't as high as it was but I also had a bad feeling going into the UCLA game. I am not sold on Max as our QB. I thought our running game would be better.

If he had a vision for the offense he would have hired someone who ran something similar to his first choice. Then after that he hired a TE coach who didn't even want the job. Got a year out of Brady and has been running through coaches ever since. He has no vision. If we let him, I'm sure he'll get lucky again, but how many 2020 type seasons are we going to have until we find another Joe Brady?

Yeah. The recreation attempt is resulting in bringing back the max protect days. Grantham, Sab, Kentucky, Moo state are licking their chops

Except in 2017 when he wouldn’t let his offensive coordinator run a tempo, wide open, spread offense.

You do realize we need the players to run the offense right?

He’s the head coach and he’s been at LSU since 2017. Any lack of players is on him.

And he trusted Brady's recommendation with this hire.

So now LSU’s hiring practices have gone from not interviewing candidates at all, to hiring people based solely on the recommendations of one person. Gotcha.

The West is Bama's. What part of last week's performance makes you believe we can compete with Bama, keeping in mind how O has fared in the past vs. Bama?

how the frick do you know we haven't...based on 1 game? Our offense didn't execute and still missed plenty of scoring opportunities
