This is getting lost in all the post-game drama, and I don't have the stomach to rewatch the game.

It looked like he was way out of the play, and came in from nowhere to make that pick.

Was he just out of position, or did he read that and come off his assignment? Either way, it was a bad pass, but a hell of a play.

Read the play. They even made a comment how he got beat earlier because of that same route/route concept made him think he needed to vacate that area when in reality he needed to stay.

Then he just made an incredible play on the ball

They were plying a zone and he jumped a route.

It was one of the few zone plays we called. Ricks was exactly where he was suppose to be and probably could have housed it if he didn’t jump up like a cat.

It was an awful read by DTR. He was being pressured a little and missed the wide open TE and WR on the opposite side of the field. The play was suppose to go left.

Did you watch the touchdown? He lined up across from the guy that scored and lolly gagged across the field and allowed that guy to beat him, then gave the least competitive attempt of a tackle to allow the guy to score. He needs to wake up. Funny he plays well when we’re up, but plays without interest when we’re getting smoked.

He also made a great tackle on UCLA's first drive to stop them short of the 1st down. You don't really want to see your #1 CB that much when the defense is on the field. If he's having to cross the field to make tackles all the time, you have other problems out there.

I don't get this. He was rarely challenged out there. He was also hustling the entire game.

Hustling he was not. You need to check out their td on stingley.

He made one solo tackle all game, you're right, on a naked QB bootleg to his side of the field.

The only tackle he made all game? Against a team that ran 47 times, and threw over the middle where corners typically can make a tackle or two just by falling down.

#7 missed three tackles (clear ones) that led to Touchdowns.

He's looked a hell of a lot better than Stingley the last season. I wonder if all the hype has gotten to Sting's head because he's looked like shite. Missed tackles, getting blown up... #7 might be a curse now

Commentators showed a replay and talked about how he read his assignment, the running back, and when he saw he was pass blocking he picked up the QB's eyes and broke on the pass route to jump the route for a pick.
