Help me understand this.
Playing devils advocate.
Why was it even necessary for Fauci to fund the lab? The money in that one grant was only $670,000... why would China need that money?
Are we saying that Fauci was naive and gave them money and should have known better, or this ties him to know exactly what was going on and agreed for it to be released on purpose?

Grant was more than that and that was $670K/year form the grant that was dedicated for gain of function research for that specific lab. NIH (Fauci) was granting those funds specifically for the study of transmission of SARS viruses from bats to other species.

Even though the bats are found in China it becomes a worldwide issue when a new virus goes global
