Hell, at this point, I'd almost consider DFAing Smyly and bringing Muller back up. He's just so hard to trust in any sort of high leverage situation where one mistake can end your season.

The season is basically over. Just eat the contract. If you leave him on the roster they will keep trotting his arse out there and he clearly doesn't have the stuff anymore.
But watch. We'll DFA him, he will sign with the Phillies and beat us the last game of the season to clinch the division for them
