Only a game and a half up. That west coast trip went as expected.

Game 01:

As a Nats fan, the Braves should sweep. The Nats are in eval mode and are happy to sacrifice L's for getting looks at guys. 100 losses isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Hope it wasn't a Coors Field thing, but Ozzie got hot in Colorado. We need that to continue.

Not sure why Rosario isn't in the lineup. He is clearly a better option than Soler at this point.

Phillies have a very easy schedule down the stretch. They don’t have another series against a team over 500 until the braves to close out the year. Thankfully the braves remaining opponents are pretty bad too. I could see both making the playoffs with one catching the 2nd wild card.

Fried is not an ace. He’s a 2. Your ace’s 2nd best pitch can’t be a sweeping 76 mph curve ball. Dude needs to get with Glavine this off-season and perfect a change he can move in and out on both lefties and righties. Honestly, Ynoa is the closest thing this staff has to a playoff #1.

And Damn Anderson is 6’6”, he needs to be sitting at 97/98, not 94/95. That shite don’t cut it in 2021.

Morton has the stuff to be a 1 in the playoffs if he could throw more than 6 innings.

I agree with this.

Anderson will be a true ace when he learns to pitch more efficiently. He has unbelievable upside.

I also think Spencer Strider will be up in a few years. He and Freddy Tarnok probably have the highest upside in the entire organization.

I agree. I was specifically talking about this season and our ability to make a playoff run. We’ve got a bunch of really good 2s and 3s. Not sure we have the 1 to win in the playoffs.

Goddamn, I love Adam Duvall.

I don’t keep up with the farm guys like y’all do. Will these dudes be ready while we still have our offensive core in their primes?

There are others on this site who are much, much more well versed than me. Also, some of the writers at Talking Chop are dedicated solely to the minors. That's where I get a lot of my info from.

From what I've heard/read, 2023 seems to be a good target year for both of them.

Like I said, he’s got the stuff. And the experience. But at this age, does he have the stamina? We need a guy to go out and dominate Game 1 for 8 innings. Cause Lord knows we want to limit the pen’s innings, especially early.
