Woodward waiting to fire O “with cause”.

Report out within 45 days, Woodward will fire O with cause for knowing about sexual harrasment but not reporting to superiors. This Title IX report is the cover Woodward needs to save LSU millions of dollars. Hopefully the OG survives but sadly he may be collateral damage as well.

He’d have to fire Verge too, which is why I doubt this. They’re close.
Orgeron is gone in November I’m sure though, just don’t see it before the season and “for cause” is still a relative long shot.

If Verge knew about the incidents and helped cover them up, then Woodward will fire him, if for no other reason than to keep the NCAA from coming down on LSU too hard.

I think the Title IX stuff is history, but we dont know what is going to come out of the Cregg lawsuit, if anything

There’s a way to avoid all of this. Negotiate a buy out with O. Let him leave and ride off into the sunset with a few million, his ring, and his name in tact. No bad press. I hope we can do it this way. That will be up to O.

I’m calling bullshite. If O gets canned, it’s because of losses, not T9 or the NCAA. The admin may use them to their advantage to limit the buyout if the losses come, but his job status is going to be tied to what happens on the field.
Right now, the odds still aren’t in his favor.
