Maason Smith appeared to me to play good early in the game. Then I do not remember seeing him again in the game. Why did we keep using mostly the same folks that played last year in the defensive line and they did not seem to me to be up to the task.

I was thinking the same thing. He was on safe punt return later in the game so playing the “not 100%” card doesn’t play

A lot of the kids that were hyped all summer didn’t sniff the field.

We’ve been lied to, boys.

He was on the field a lot early in the game, then I saw him come to the sideline and Coach O was pissed and talking at him and he never sniffed the field again.

They showed O chewing someone out in slow motion as the player came to the sideline, I believe just after Max’s int. I thought it was gonna be Max as the player came into view, but I’m pretty sure it was Smith.

To be honest I don't see how anyone watching tv knew who was playing on the defensive line. Its not as tho they ever say their name and you surely cannot see their number from the tv angle. Saw the defensive backfield and linebackers every so often, but very rarely saw the DTs. Where are the stats on how many plays the players played?
