Going to see it tonight.

Looking forward to this movie as Black Widow was a bit of a disappointment IMO.

Business is about to really pick up again with The Eternals in November, Spider-Man No Way Home in December followed by Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in March

Really hope this is a good introduction to the MCU. I'm not a big kung fu or martial arts person. Just want great character development.

Seeing it in IMAX?

I hope to catch it this weekend, most likely Sunday for me.

I love kung fu and marshal arts movies, so this one looks fun. Not a huge fan of aquafina, but she can be funny in small doses

I had zero expectations for this movie, as I believe we all should for all the Phase 4 films, but having just gotten out, I can say it was WILDLY entertaining.

An argument can be made that foremostly it's a solid kung-fu movie with MCU MSG for flavor.

I'll wait until after the weekend for folks to see it before talking spoilers.

Worldwide opening weekend projections are at around 90 million, no idea why they don't just delay it but hey I'm gonna enjoy the heck out of it on saturday

I’m going to see this tonight, but for my money, if marvel was intent on getting into the kung fu aspect of their lore, I really would’ve rather them go with Iron Fist. Except to do it good, and right. Not like that hot garbage, steaming pile of crap that Netflix put out

Saw it.

It was meh. Fight scenes were good but weren’t that many really. Not a great story. Was expecting much better.

His GF ends up becoming a freaking pro with the bow and arrow after training for a day. Freaking dumb.

Felt like it was about shang, his hf and his sis. Not Shang Chi.

Wait for it to come out on disney +

Thought it was a solid mid range MCU movie. Probably in the same tier as the first dr strange. Kingsley stole every scene he was in

I will say Just Like the other new avengers Black Panther and Captain Marvel, Shang chi is a Remarkably forgettable character

I thought it was really good.
Much better than I expected it to be. I’m watching Marvel movies at this point because I’m hooked and I’ll just keep watching them even if they’re bad, but this was really good.

The fight scenes were some of the best I’ve seen. Little slow motion stuff. They were moving.

And, I know Awkwafina gets a lot of grief here, but I thought she did a great job.

Haven't seen it yet, but watched Drinker's review.

Basically said that the movie tries to be too many different genre's of movie all at once (buddy road trip, spy thriller, kung fu movie, etc) and doesn't give the main character any chance to develop.

Has that been everyone else's experience that's seen it?

Saw it last-night in theaters. Pretty solid movie overall. There was some great fight choreography. The bus scene was amazing.

Had some funny parts as well. "The monkeys weren't actually riding the horses, they were acting"

I feel like they were very vague about the actual rings. They didn't fully describe the power, or how does one utilize it. My guess is this was intentional. With the post credit scene and the appearance of Banner(I'm assuming Hulk/Professor Hulk is officially retired) and Marvel, the rings will play a much bigger part of the story going forward.

The Ta Lo village was giving me Avatar vibes, they were definitely airbenders.
