SDS, G-force, JTS. Are any of these "tacticool" cheap 12 gauges any good?

There are pistol grip pumps, bullpup semi-autos, pistol grip semis...etc. All over websites and gunshops for $209 to $350 depending on brand.

Are ANY of these worth the money just to have? I don't have a 12 gauge I can shoot, wanting one just to have it. I do have my grandfather's 1943 Ithaca double barrel, but it needs reblued before I could shoot it. And it kicks like a fricking mammoth jackstock donkey.

I won't be hunting with it, would just be shooting it on occasion for fun. Or would maybe grab it if someone broke in.

I saw a Charles Daly M4 Benelli clone yesterday for $550 at a shop, and thought about it. But thats still $300 more than the lower end of these offbrand Turkish guns. And those still apparently have issues.

Absolutely not. JTS is hot garbage. Made in china actually. Most box mag fed shotguns are actually garbage. Get a turkish one if you have to have it but DO NOT get a JTS.

Go to a pawn shop and buy a decent brand.

Go get a Mossberg Maverick 88 Tactical.

I've had a Maverick 88 (not the tac version) in 20 ga for a few years now and it's a great "value" shotgun. I bought it for home defense for my wife because she is not comfortable shooting full size handguns and her Bodyguard 380 just isn't enough power for a HD gun in my opinion. So I bought that and took her to the range with it and she loves it. I loved it too and went and got myself a 12 ga a couple months after buying hers .

Like I said, they're a great value for a shotgun in the $300 range. If I'm not mistaken you can get a non tactical version (no pistol grip or folding stock) for less than $300.

If you're on a budget and in the market for a tactical shotgun, there is a budget-friendly company who specializes in just that market and they have both law enforcement and military customers who are very satisfied (as well as a dizzying array of satisfied civilian customers, a robust third party accessory support and massive user base with online forums, information exchange, etc.)

Hint: It both rhymes with Mossberg and is Mossberg.

Just bought a Panzer BP-12 but have not had a chance to shoot it yet. My other is a Mossberg 590A1 Adjustable. Unfortunately I lost both of them when they fell off the jet ski.

I’m glad to see this thread. PSA has (had?) a tacticool 12ga shotgun for $199 the other day. I don’t even like shotguns and I was tempted at that price.
