This young dude gets it!

British teen knows the real score.
“It’s straight out of 1984 book, the idea that we’re going to have to get out our phones, get out our passes, show our papers in the streets, or if we want to go in a pub, it’s funny, it’s honestly funny that people don’t see where this is going. It’s about control. If you allow the government to break the law and violate your rights for an emergency, what’s stopping them from creating an emergency to break the law.”

I’m not watching
I’m against lockdowns because they did not work and because from the beginning we should have quarantined the vulnerable and let the rest go about life.
However, I am supportive of private companies mandating vaccines as well as govt for their employees
Some of you don’t understand that we are at war with covid.
In times of war, you sacrifice
During the Second World War, Americans not only sacrificed their lives, but everyone at home sacrificed material comfort for the war effort
People put up with ration stamps and constant shortages of even basic goods because they knew it was for a good cause
Getting a needle pricked into your arm for a second is a very reasonable sacrifice

Is it “1984” to show proof of licensure to operate a vehicle?
Is it “1984” that all sorts of jobs require certification?
The fact is, “showing your papers” is already a thing in all sorts of basic everyday activities.

This is the most retarded thing I’ve read on this site in a long time.

I am vaccinated and I chose to do it because I’m around a person with Lupus a lot. At the time I had a grandma that was in very bad shape also. She has since passed from non Covid illnesses but I did it for them. I was ok with the 2 weeks to stop the spread. What was 2 weeks of it slowed things down. I was even ok with the lockdowns for another couple of months. But after that when things was just getting worse not better then it’s time for the Government to give up all that power and give people their lives back. Protect the vulnerable but let everyone else move on with life. Instead they doubled down and locked us down and threw us in masks. Covid still spread like wildfire. Once you try something that does not work then the Government must give back that power. If you allow them to continue to wield all this power then it’s almost impossible to get it back from them. Sooner or later some corrupt Dem will declare that guns are an emergency and try to use emergency powers to confiscate law abiding citizens guns or pass even more extreme gun control laws. And if it’s not guns then it will be some other political issue they want to control like getting rid of voting id laws. We must stop this because it’s a matter of time that we will be living like Australia is right now. With all this power the Government has right now and the basic rights we are losing we are not far away from losing America and becoming Americastan.

Getting a Covid vaccine is just the sort of virtue-signaling, pretend sacrifice that would resonate with our country. It costs nothing and is of much less value than the initiates of the cult believe it to be.
It’s like being shown a sheaf of wheat at Eleusis and walking away thinking something momentous has happened. At least the taurobolium required some commitment.
If people are looking for sacrifices, take in a couple that lost their livelihood in the last year. Or provide childcare to a struggling single mom. Or do something that’s actually sacrificial beyond posting on Facebook.

Right up there with Harris making DeSantis VP after being bumped up.

HailHailtoMichigan! your comments and false equivalencies in this thread are just about the dumbest things I've read in my decades on the internet. Congratulations

Only a willfully ignorant person can ignore the data coming out of our hospitals.
90%+ unvaccinated.
You can't refute that data or explain it away with sophistry.
The vaccines are not perfect. There are breakthrough cases running rampant.
But the vaccines turn covid into a mild cold.
Why does it not bring you to tears knowing all these deaths in Louisiana in last 2-3 months were almost entirely preventable?

I just want to point out, it wasn’t two weeks to stop the spread. As I recall, it was two weeks to flatten the curve which would spread the tsunami of Covid headed for hospitals out. A lot of people argued that was folly, but it was such a small sacrifice not many truly objected. But once an inch was given . . .

You truly are one of the dumbest mother frickers to ever post on this board.
Dumbasses like you are why this country is so fricked at the moment…

The Masters of Public Health all gathered at their Holiday Inn convention centers, laughing over beer and wine only, “I can’t believe they bought that whole ‘two weeks’ nonsense! Let’s give them moving targets on vaccine demographics next!”

It’s lagging data - we’re headed where Israel is now.
You’re a silly little cuck BTW

I take it you are largely unfamiliar with the average patient in our hospitals pre-pandemic.

You are absolutely correct it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve. My mistake and thanks for pointing that out.
