There are more restrictions to get into an LSU football game than to a UCLA football game. More restrictions at LSU than schools in California and Colorado. It’s mind boggling to think how we’ve let the people we have gain charge in this state and at this university. And don’t give me no bullshite about vaccination rates, they’ve played MLB games with no restrictions or vaccine mandates in Texas, Georgia, and Florida all summer.

We don’t have an active recall of the governor. That could make a difference.

It’s a message board for topics pertaining to LSU athletics. These restrictions are going to impact many people on going to LSU football games. Going to LSU football games is important to some people. Quit acting like this isn’t a big deal because it is. Yes I ultimately have a choice to make on whether I want to take the vaccine, get tested or not go to the game at all. The higher ups know how important LSU football is to some people so they’re going to use this as a way to “make” people get the vaccine. So don’t down play this. This is difficult for some people. Btw I can decide to get tested but there’s not guarantee I would get my results back in time.

I would be more inclined to get the vaccine if the vaccine actually prevented people from getting covid, but this is nothing more than a glorified mRNA flu shot with questionable results at best.

The shot doesn’t work like we were led to believe

If they allow them to, sure.

Needs to be said again.

I didn't get either shot and I do all that stuff too.

I'm not scared. I have a 99.98% chance to survive it if I get it.

No one is being made to get the vaccine… just provide a negative test.. schedule them now if you are so busy about not having enough time

Your are correct. And my 41 year old niece with no underlying health issues who died a month ago had the same attitude. She left behind a husband, 18 year old daughter and 16 year old son.

You are not wrong, but the far left nut jobs will be here quickly to praise the vaccine, praise Biden, praise Edwards, and most of all, fear monger. Polls not looking good for Dems...they need massively revised voting laws to have a chance in 22....therefore fear mongering

@schwartzy.

Your statement is not accurate. While the vaccines do not prevent spread, they significantly reduce the likelihood that one who contracts COVID ends up severely ill, in a hospital, or dead. Those results are not questionable. Go check out state health department numbers from any state, including Louisiana. The vaccine is not a cure-all for COVID but it certainly leads to better health outcomes.

All politics aside, this is a health issue. We have a genuine health crisis to manage. To decrease pressure on hospitals and clinical staff, which should be the only goal for all of the restrictions, everyone (vaxed or not) should wear a mask if they are within 6 feet of others for more than 15 minutes, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, and limit exposure with those known or suspected to have COVID.

If you and others want to debate the rights of the government to impose restrictions, go ahead. All I want you and others to realize is that there is clinical data available which can be used to improve the situation.

Lol. I don't believe anything the government says, whether CDC, FDA, wh...it is and has been all political. The fact that you are promoting mask wearing says it all. There are tons of top level scientists and doctors who all say it is useless. To further prove that point, the Dems know it...that's why you see the very ones mandating the masks, being caught in large gatherings NOT wearing it

Deaths are way down, and from day one the actual coding of deaths has been significantly skewed. There have already been lots of modifications on previously covid coded deaths. The infection rate is so inaccurate it is comical. This is a virus that yes, will severely attack the unhealthy, obese, and older. Guess what, so does the common flu and pneumonia. This has been and continues to be a political weapon for the Dems.. and a form of control. It's that simple.

Louisiana’s pop adjusted death totals are nearly leading US - and rising like a rocket ship during a month where “normal” flu deaths are historically very low - so no it’s not asinine from a public health perspective.
