@Sources: #Jaguars 1st round RB Travis Etienne suffered a significant tear, a serious Lisfranc injury that knocks him out for the next several months and potentially the season.

Officially, the timeline is 12 weeks minimum for Travis Etienne. He’ll have surgery as soon as possible and then would have a chance to come back late in the season if all goes well and it makes sense.

Looks the James Robinson show again this year.

Yeah I really doubt Hyde is going to make a huge impact in that backfield. It’s going to be Robinson for all 3 downs it looks like.

Low end RB2 with the potential for more

So Robinson should be a..4th? 5th? Right there around Henderson?

I know it's probably a waste but I dropped my kicker for Hyde just in case. Hyde played for Urban in college so maybe he gets a look. I could also see Jax sign one of the FA Rbs like Gurley or something for cheap.

The #Patriots are trading RB Sony Michel to the #Rams for 2 draft picks, sources say. A long anticipated trade that fills a big need for LA

Damien Harris gets a big bump. I wonder if this has anything to do w/ henderson's thumb. I grabbed Sony just in case

Rams were always going to add an RB after Akers went down. Rhamondre Stevenson's preseason performance along with Michel's injury history likely has a lot to do with it as well.

Pretty good news for Henderson owners

LAR were going to add a RB. I’m just glad it’s Michel

He did good enough with limited snaps last year

No one is expecting him to be a RB1.

He had a higher ypc than Akers last year and was the better back at the beginning of the year.

And yea, I’m not worried about Sony stealing much work from him. He’s still a solid option if you wait late to grab an RB2

Sony Michel boasted some efficient production last season with 6.5 (No. 1) Yards Per Touch, 2.15 (No. 4) Yards Created Per Touch, and a 19.8 (No. 9) Production Premium.

One note: Michel has great familiarity with Rams RB coach Thomas Brown, a fellow former UGA running back.

Thinking man emoji

The Rams drafted Darrell Henderson, watched him play for a full season, used their first pick on a running back, who then got hurt, then traded for another running back. The Rams may not think Henderson is as good as you think he is.

I'm not buying the Michel hype at all. I might easily regret it though.

Rams took Henderson 70th overall

Followed it up the next year with Akers at 52

Now likely 4th for Michel?

That’s a lot of draft capital for a team to use on RB, especially one that is good and “one player away”

A lot of interesting stuff there. Might be looking at Michel if the price is right.

Picked up Michel this morning. Hoping he really carves out a nice role in LA. If nothing else I may can use him for a trade with the Henderson owner

I do get the argument for sure - and not dismissing it by any means.

Rams have sold out on draft capital for quite the future. How the RB situation works out for this year is uncertain to me. I still am unsure how Michel makes a FF impact, at best its going to be some type of committee. There are reasons to be bullish in some aspects, but in a 12-team Michel is WW material right now or a wait and see stash for me.

I mean Michel is in a better spot with the Rams than he was in with New England. Better offense and we just saw Mcvay give 3 backs 100+ touches. Few days ago he said Xavier Jones was going to have a role, too. Could be a big nothing burger across the board. Reading between the lines tells me he’s not totally committed to Henderson tho
