I had a leaking mitrial valve and a bicuspid aortic valve. By the time I was ready for surgery 3 days after going to the ER the left side of my heart was basically flat, the had to put a balloon pump in my aorta to provide enough blood pressure to keep me going.

Upon ingestion of cold substances, in particular, neural pathways are triggered by receptors in the pharynx and esophagus that activate the cardioinhibitory center in the medulla. The medulla then delivers a signal via the vagus nerve to the pulmonary vein region of the left atrium, reducing the relative refractory periods of the myocytes in a nonuniform manner, increasing heterogeneity, and augmenting the ability of single atrial premature beats to initiate AF in susceptible individuals [3,24,30]. This vagally-mediated mechanism of cold-induced AF is thought to be more common in younger patients and those with structurally normal hearts

Had it since I was 17 or 18. Now 54
Can’t speak for your situation but for me.
Plenty of sleep
Light on the caffeine
Exercise regularly
Avoid stress/anxiety.
It took me several months to get used to the medicine. My BP runs around 128/80

Been with a cardiologist for 15 years and will always be on blood thinners. Afib becomes more frequent with aging population. About 8 years ago cardiologist recommended use of a Cpap. That Cpap took a large amount of stress off my heart and is a key part of my treatment . Prior to Cpap my snoring caused numerous heart stoppages/restart every night

I have no doubt. Went and saw and was diagnosed 2 mo ago. Still can't get in to do my overnight to fit me for a machine.
They can't get the machines. I have no doubt that will take a huge stress off. I'm sick off getting up feeling like a train fricking hit me.

I have had a similar experience, not with a fib but with irregular heartbeat. For years it would happen very rarely, would last a day, two days, a week at the most, then I wouldn’t have another episode for six months to a year. Never bothered me too much bc apparently irregular heartbeat is fairly common. Well a couple of years ago, I had an episode and it lasted months nearly every night going to bed. It scared the shite out of me. Tried to figure out what my trigger is but couldn’t. One day, I started taking Lyte Show, which is an electrolyte supplement, because I was having muscle cramping. That week, I stopped having irregular heartbeat episodes. Talked to my doctor about it, and he said absolutely an electrolyte imbalance can cause irregular heartbeat. Found my trigger and found the solution.

Anyone deal with this?
I’ve been in Afib for 25 years. 3 cardiac ablations, 7 cardioversions, and blood thinners and nothing corrected it. Eventually I’ll have to have valve replacement surgery as my atrium is going to expand beyond the valve size. Except for the blood thinners and being careful around knives, razors, etc, it hasn’t affected my daily life at all.

Going to make a wild guess that supplement contains Magnesium.
