I got it free at a bar when they were promoting it...it was better than CR...it was smooth. I still prefer regular ole' Jack. I am not sure of the cost though since it was free.

ive had it, it was good, but probably not noticeably better than special reserve....i also had the crown stored in the cognac barrels...it was good, but not worth the cash...

like paying $100 for a haircut when you can get the same haircut for 10

I am not a fan GJ...I drink black all the time. I like Single Barrel, but dont drink it as much since it is more expensive.

I just grew up drinking BlackJack and water on the rocks...and it ain't broken so I am not going to fix it just yet...although I do really want to work my way into scotch.

It depends. Price is relative to what you have and what you like. Personally I love it, but I wouldn't spend that much to drink it all the time. I buy it once a year. I also drink crown regularly and its all I seem to drink now when I want to have drink. So I guess it just depends on what you prefer. It costs $180 a bottle

I went to a Crown Royal tasting a few months ago and got to try all of their labels. We started with regular crown, went to Special Reserve, then their new Cask No.16, and then XR. I drink enough whiskey to know what I like, and the best was the Cask No.16. They age it in cognac barrels before bottling it. It is really damn good. After that, the XR was really nice and then I would say the regular crown. I am not too impressed with Special Reserve. If you are going to splurge, go for the Cask, it is around $70-$80 a bottle. Worth it for a special occasion IMO.

I used to not think so, but i sat down and actually did a taste test and I found crown reserve not only quite noticeably different, but much better than regular crown.....
