Imagine how much better off this country would be if Ron had been elected.

I've had this thought many times over the past decade. Imagine thinking McCain or Romney were decent options. We had a chance to prevent most of this insanity.

Heard that on the David Knight podcast someone posted yesterday. I never bought in to the Ron Paul run, but man how spot on he was. Now I’m seeing he was ahead of his time, or at least a lone voice crying out in the wilderness. You can usually find the true geniuses by who all calls them crazy, unfortunately it’s usually too late.

Ron Paul has been telling the truth for over 40 years.

I proudly voted for him.
Also the last line of that Jimmy Dore video in reference to Ron Paul getting shunned in the presidential debates on MSNBC, owned by General Electric: "Your news is brought to you by defense contractors. How's that working out?"

As did I. The only politician I've ever donated money to.

Guy was ripped in conservative circles back in the day but he’s been proven right on a lot of things

quote:The spineless Libertarian hero Ron Paul voted "yes" for this all out war in Afghanistan & Authorization for Use of Force. Only 1 member of Congress voted against it & gave a brave speech on the House floor was Democrat Barbara Lee:
Ron Paul Predicted Afghan Debacle Ten Years Ago
" this is a blank check to the President to attack anyone involved in the 9/11 events-anywhere, in any country , without regard to our nation's long term foreign policy, economic & national security interests, and without a time limit"- Barbara Lee
Lee was the single " no" vote in Congress (420-1) so I don't want to hear from Ron Paul & his followers strutting like Peacocks decades after the fact & his "yes" vote.

Blasting the sh!t out of Afg was the correct choice. Staying there was not.

The only politician I'd take a bullet for. I worked for his campaigns in 2008 and 2012 and got ridiculed by McCain, Giuliani and Romney supporters during those runs. The man was a prophet. We don't deserve him.

quote:And yet one of his former aides attacked him in 2012 when he was running for the GOP nomination with the following accusation:
The spineless Libertarian hero Ron Paul voted "yes" for this all out war in Afghanistan & Authorization for Use of Force.
quote:
"Ron Paul was opposed to the War in Afghanistan, and to any military reaction to the attacks of 9/11. He did not want to vote for the resolution. He immediately stated to us staffers, me in particular, that Bush/Cheney were going to use the attacks as a precursor for 'invading' Iraq. He engaged in conspiracy theories including perhaps the attacks were coordinated with the CIA, and that the Bush administration might have known about the attacks ahead of time. He expressed no sympathies whatsoever for those who died on 9/11, and pretty much forbade us staffers from engaging in any sort of memorial expressions, or openly asserting pro-military statements in support of the Bush administration."

Did you vote for Biden in 2020? If so, you voted for a man who voted for the War on Terror, the Patriot Act and the War in Iraq. Answer the damn question.

Libertarians could have handled this any better? Only if they gave the Taliban free reign to flood the world with Marijuana.

They wouldn't have spent over $2 trillion in a ludicrous nation building exercise. But continue to laugh at the only people who have consistently opposed our insane foreign policy as practiced by both parties.

Voted for him every time!

Absolutely, we would have never went.
