If the Taliban take hostages, I look for a landslide election in 2024 of the next Republican President. As soon as Reagan was elected the hostages were released because they knew he would not play footsie with them.

I know it looks bad now, but 2022 will give some indication of how this will go for the next Presidential cycle.

Any hostages won’t live to see 2025 unless the ransoms are paid.

I don’t think we want to know the answer to that.

I bet if we did know, the Dems wouldn’t be doing political theater about January 6 anymore.

Killing of hostages would trigger war in the region and China and Russia would jump in making it another WW.

Unless our elections are fixed in key states, the republicans cannot win.

What’s funny to me is this is the only thing Biden has done that I completely agree with.

How he did it, should have been better.

But this was always a strong possibility. How did you think Afghanistan would end?

What fantasy occupied your reason and logic?

There will be hostages, guaranteed.

Especially with this administration. I can't imagine how much shite the Taliban would be able to squeeze out of a prisoner exchange/ransom. They can smell blood in the water.

No it isn't.

Dominion and the Democratic Fraud Machine are still alive and well, and faced no ramifications whatsoever for their actions in 2020.

To think we have a chance in '22 or '24, imo, is folly. Anyone who is "conservative" who happens to win, will be a uniparty puppet.

The difference is we didn't have Dominion in 1980. They're just going to manufacture the votes they need because the republicans have shown they aren’t going to do a damn thing about it

2020 was all the indication we need. They cheated them and they will cheat again.

I’m still going to vote though.

The timing is very different, unfortunately. The Iran hostage crisis started just one year before the election.

The electorate have a short memory span. Most of us are too lazy to pay attention for very long.

Yes seems like it except for the gas shortages.

What did these flags mean at gas stations in the carter years?

Not without fixing the under lying issues with the election system. Until there is real election reform we are screwed.
