How much you looking to spend?

I really liked Tenison Highlands and Stevens Park. Stevens is a shorter, older course with squared off greens and a few really great views of Downtown.

I would say this is the best public course in the metroplex.

It's going to cost you $230 though.

ETA: All of your food and drink is included in that price. Booze not included. So you can have lunch, tee off, eat on the course and eat dinner afterwards.

Rangers and Sky Creek Ranch are the two best courses I've played this year locally. Rangers is a links and SCR is a Trent Jones course.

Texas Star is a nice one and not quite as expensive as Cowboys

Definitely not. It’s a country club experience at a public course. The course itself is far better than many country clubs in the area.

Texas star and rangers are also good at about half the price. Full disclosure, I’ve never played rangers, but I’ve heard it’s badass. It’s in Arlington, so not sure if that matters for op

I played TPC at Los Colinas a year ago. The course was very well maintained and I really enjoyed it. There are two courses there but I only played the TPC Four Seasons.

I forgot about TPC. It will probably be $250 as well. There are 2 courses there, but the other one is members only.

Personally, I would rather play cowboys than TPC.

I got the Twilight rate of $110 which included cart and club rental. I thought it was a helluva deal but that was a year ago when things weren't normal.

That’s not bad at all. I’d pay $110 to play tpc.

Dallas National. Best round I ever played was with Jordan Speith about 6 years ago.

Grapevine is best bang for your buck.
Cowboys and Tour 18 are both nice but $100 each on a weekend.

Ya OP call up Dallas national and see if they have a tee time available. If not, maybe try Preston Trail.

No really nice public courses in that area yet. The new course at the pga hq isn’t open yet.

Pecan Hollow is a Plano muni, on the east side of 75. Very fun track and great greens.
