I go first:
Terrible hiring (swampers) and not enough firing (left the swamp in place).
DeSantis2024

He should have known they would only allow 4 years and should have gone scorched earth since day 1

Trump didnt really accomplish much of anything. He has zero/zilch legacy left in place. He was a failure. He is completely out of touch with his base. Trump the image and Trump the reality are total opposites.

Didn't realize he didn't need to respond to ever single perceived slight like a 12 year old.

He tried to work with the establishment and instead they all stabbed him in the back. Sad

This. 100%. They were able to keep him completely distracted using this weakness against him. He just needed to ignore and move on but he had to always take a jab.

There were times that he should have softened up a bit, and he didn’t seem to be aware. Don’t get me wrong, his fight was great, but he couldn’t turn it off when he needed to.

Would be pretty easy to list 20 or 30 things he achieved.

He was a great president, but he let Covid take him out.
1. Chill with the tweets. economy is booming. Let people enjoy it.
2. Hired terrible people under him
3. Thought everyone would unite with him around Covid similar to 911. And he got stomped by fauci, reporters, and even Republicans (Georgia).
4. A lot of republicans are Democrats

I got news for you...
Should Desantis become President, there will be plenty of filth surrounding him too. In the White House, in the departments, in the military, in the IC.
The bureaucracy is huge and as much as we would like to verify every person is loyal and working for the best interests of the administration, it’s just not possible. There will be those that are overlooked, hired out of necessity, and those that deliberately pretend to be something they aren’t to sabotage, leak, undermine, etc.
And the moment after he becomes the nominee, should he, Desantis will start making concessions to the GOPe, the RNC, Republican donors and interests, etc. He has to in order to function with political support.
It’s a tough situation. DC is a machine.
