Louisiana,Mississippi, and Texas are where LSU generally do well. All three of these states are far superior to Alabama in regards to Elite HS talent.

Well 12 guys over the last 10 years worth of recruiting classes means we aren’t relying on getting kids from that state anyway.

as much as i’d love to get some of their best players, it ain’t going to happen, even w/ a national championship in hand
Goodwin would have been one hell of a 1-2 punch with Bigsby. We killed two birds by taking him away from Auburn, and actually having him helping us. That was definitely a steal from that state. Knew we weren't going to get the corner though.

Huh? Mississippi def does not produce better talent than Alabama. Texas and Louisiana yes but not Mississippi.

Nobody expected Provens, Parrish or Rivers to be starters at LSU. They were positions needs and bodies to fill those.

I'm excited about this goodwin rb, I think he could be a hit. Also Farrell has quetly been our best DL the past 2 seasons and Flott still has time to get better IMO. No superstars but some pretty solid position players. Could be worse.

Yeah, even Bama doesn’t get many recruits from Alabama. Usually around 7 in-state recruits per class. Not a deep state to recruit from and that’s after fighting Auburn for them. Most of Bama’s classes are from OOS by necessity. The in-state “leftovers” can be hit or miss.

Bama has won a few big recruiting battles with LSU for top La. kids, but really, outside of Landon Collins, Cam Robinson and Devonte Smith, Bama has either “stolen” busts or UDFAs from the Boot.
