LSU is the best thing that Louisiana has going for it. But, much of the population is so negative that they seem to relish bad news and the opportunity to "run down" anything and "eat their own"...every chance they get...
To these so-called fans, you don't deserve LSU or this team. There, I got it off my chest! Decent fans all accross America would die for one season like last year...now, LSU has another shot this year at a Two-peat...but for some, the QBs aren't perfect yet so they run them down like dogs. I say it again...you don't deserve this "damn strong team" or it's damn fine staff.

I mean we could call this tigercirclejerkdroppings.com and only talk about positive things. Maybe you should make that site. LSU could go all season without a win and I would still be at every game, but discussing the weaknesses is far more productive than discussing everything we do well.

I agree -- the negativity grows tiresome.

it just a sign of the high expectations LSU nation has.. (Perhaps many here underestimated the affect losing RP would have on the program in the short run?)

Although many are negative and unfair, specifically right now on the QB situation..

All of us have learned to expect to win and dominate, especially cupcakes..41-3 is not dominate against NTST IMO....but we played lots of folks

I think we will be fine at QB...I see Lee getting the starting job as we move forward..

I have great hope in JJ, and with Shep coming in at either QB or a Percy harvin type position, we will be good and fun to watch for years

BTW has Les Miles broken 50 pts in a game as HC at LSU? just curious

I don't think for one second that weaknesses should not be discussed, but some people have come on here and taken shots at certain players that are just doing their jobs. They're 18-23 years old. They're going to make mistakes. But, when someone criticizes a player and claims their suckage is of epic proportions, when they truly do not know what is truly going on, I have a problem with that.

I'm just going to keep to myself from now on because there are fans that understand the game that want to engage in intelligent conversation; not coming on here to bash anyone.

The finest example is for those who say Chris Hawkins sucks. Don't y'all think that he would have been pulled if he was getting manhandled by the guy he was covering? The two games we've played were merely experimental. In-game situations are hard to recreate in a practice setting. Just because Hawkins didn't break up a pass doesn't mean he sucks. He did what he was assigned to do and that was to keep everything underneath him. He had 8 tackles (5 unassisted, 3 assisted) the other night. Looking at the total offense and number of points UNT put up, I'm happy with it. Yeah, it was UNT, but still. I'd rather see an inexperienced CB do as Hawkins did as opposed to what happened to KU's corner the other night on Grothe's long TD pass in the 2nd half.

Just my .02.

There were several rantards on here who said we would be better off with out RP.

I agree with you to a point. I don't like to see players ripped for doing their best but failing to meet the expectations of a few unappreciative fans. However, this site is designed for fans to express their opinions. The opinions may not always be fair or even rational but it's their privilege to speak their minds.

True, but the bottom line is that we'll still never know. I think most people said we'd be better off, b/c we had a chance to get the QBs up to speed (still working on that one). Imagine if RP was still on the team and got into a bar fight this week or next week. Talk about suckdom. I don't think anyone with half a brain ever thought that Perrilloux sucked as a player.

you so missed the point. guy was trying to say that the idiots that reside here, almost take pleasure in the fact of ridiculing and trying to outcoach the fuking coaches...i really believe half truly think they are right and the other half are just to fuking stupid to know any better. Constructive critisim is good, on here most is unwarrented and just not anywhere close to being true.

I don't think we are better since we lost him, but I think we are better because we lost him when we did. Assuming that he was ticking bomb, which he turned out to be, I think it was better that he didn't practice in the spring and was gone before fall camp to get the other QBs as many reps as possible.

If he would have lingered on a little more and taken 80-85% of the practice reps and then picked this week or the week of the Florida game to go off then we would be in much deeper shite than we are now.

No, that is not accurate.
We are better off without RP if he continued to be a distraction and was in and out of the doghouse. IF he would have changed his attitude, worked hard, become the leader that he was suppose to be, then of course we would be better with him.

True. It is their right to speak there minds, but they are fair game and are responsible for creating whatever message board reputation they gain by posting such negative, irrational, unfounded, uneducated, ignorant, stupid, wrong, hardheaded, dumbass, assinine thoughts that pop into their little pessimistic heads.

In regard to team chemistry and dynamics, absolutely. The guy couldn't go a Sunday night without having a rumor surface about something he did. You know how badly those things and that uncertainty would have affected us negatively this season? Did he present us with a better opportunity to win? Clearly. Was he a major distraction that would inevitably hurt our team this year through his actions? Clearly. So we can debate all we want but it was time to move on from RP, win or lose this year.

Some people will find negative no matter what. Honestly, if everything went perfect they would not be happy because they would have nothing to talk about.

A Fistfight? Over a sport that people you don't even know are participating in? Get your priorities straight. This is a game. Iam sick of people personalizing this, like it is the end all to life. We love the Tigers! We hope they win every game. But I am not going to lose sleep over it.

Much of the newer fan-base doesn't have a clue about what team chemistry is all about. They're never played and never coached...which involves much more than recruiting 5STAR athletes and yelling at them...bringing a team together and have then function as a team with pride and discipline...this is what Miles is good at...hide and watch...you don't need a 150 IQ to be a great head coach...but you do need to be savy and people smart...LSU got lucky thanks to Skip.
