Yes, and the fact that many were making more money on unemployment than they were when working plus still didn't pay rent is icing on the cake

This is exactly the issue.

Many could afford to pay but they didn't have to pay. So they spent it on everything else.

The expensive dinners that many were spending money on are going to stop.

Fwiw, a good friend of mine’s father was murdered yesterday collecting rent.

The shooter was killed by police. You’ll never hear about it on any MSM.

Yes it is crazy, I have several rent homes and have not missed a rent payment yet. They all know that I can't evict them but I can damn sure sell the house.

Good luck with anyone stopping this absolute trashing of our Constitution! There’s very few who can do anything about these power grabs. Really who can? The opposition is cowed now.

They stole the election, nobody stopped it…and in turn as those who could have stopped it were warned, have made this whole governance, overnight, a name it and claim it totalitarian system.

They literally just made “law” by fiat of monumental proportions and we are just getting taken over by this sham regime.

Civil war is justified for this issue alone.

Agree completely. My dad survives off of rental properties, about 30 homes, many lower income. I can't imagine what someone like him would do if his renters just stopped paying for 8+ months.

It is insane and a BLATANT OVERREACH.

p.s. I didn't like it when it was on Trump's watch either.

pretty much. This is a BIG DEAL, both the policy and enforcement of said policy

But who would buy a house that is currently inhabited with squatters? Would it be easier for the new owner to evict than a current landlord if the new owner wants to self occupy instead of rent?

Plain and simple: this is part of Obama’s redistribution plan

That’s terrible. I know people usually get to know their tenants and feel safe but holy hell that place looks sketchy as shite. I was trying to decide if I wanted to rent my house or sell it but this issue alone made the decision easy.
