One other tidbit from the Mets' discussions with the Cubs: they were never close on Kris Bryant. The Mets brought up Bryant's name on multiple occasions, but the Cubs knew the landscape of what the Mets could reasonably offer and constantly redirected the conversation.

That homer set the all time monthly home run total for Votto with 11. Lorenzen looked pretty good. With him back, our three acquisitions, and Sims possibly coming back our BP looks a lot better. I hope it isn't too little too late.
