Our best annual games traditionally will go away: HURTS

Who cares? We don't have a true rivalry anyway.

Florida? Has UGA and even FSU
Bama? Auburn and Tennessee
Auburn? Bama and Georgia
Ole Miss? Miss State

That leaves Arkansas and aTm. aTm is scared shitless of Texas. They might have wanted LSU to be that rivalry, but now if Daddy comes home, they will slide LSU to the back burner (unless we end up in the division with them, with no Texas). They will still keep a close eye on Texas though. Arkansas is just MEH...

The LSU/A&M rivalry existed long before they joined the SEC, and not just in the sport of football.

It’s a natural rivalry and both fan bases should embrace it as such.

We used to have two, Ole Miss and Tulane. Of course Tulane has gone kaput, but Ole Miss is on track to again become a powerhouse and any new conference alignment retains them as an annual rival for the Tigers.

this is true, and is one of the only things I don't like about LSU football.

Don't get me wrong - we have several really strong, emotional games against Bama, Auburn, and Florida.

But we don't have a true hatred rival. That's missing, and I wish it weren't so.
