His studs literally hit Keira’s ankle. Doesn’t matter if “Keita didn’t get out of his way”, that’s absurd.

It doesn’t? Because if all that mattered was the follow through of the tackle and whether it hit an opponent regardless of hitting the ball first, a very different brand of football would be played worldwide.

I agree studs up challenge with 2 feet is a foul. My point was it was only a red because of Keita, not what Pogba did. Was Pogba’s tackle good form? Not by any means, but he won the ball, and the only reason a foul was called was because of really unfortunate positioning of the opponents leg. I mean really if Keita’s leg is 3 inches further away from the ball, not only would it not have been a red it probably wouldn’t have even been called a foul. and there was certainly no intent to injure. Which is why I have significant problem with sending a player off for that. Imo it was yellow

So you’re saying that if Naby wasn’t somewhere that he had every right to be AND if Pogba hadn’t slid in with both feet spikes up, THEN Pogba wouldn’t have been sent off?

Thanks captain obvious.

Getting the ball first doesn’t matter for dangerous play. If you knew anything about the game, you would know this. Stop being obtuse.

Keita stetchered off due to a reckless challenge and you blame it on Keita and have a problem with it being a red. C’mon man.

Keita stetchered off

The injury the player sustained isn’t supposed to have any bearing on the foul being called. The call is supposed to be off the play alone unless the referee deems intentional endangerment, which was clearly not the case.

And to the guy that said Keita was in a position he had every right to be in. That’s true, I didn’t say Keita did anything wrong. I said his positioning was unfortunate, not in getting hit by the tackle, but in the fact he got injured from it. If y’all can’t look at that Pogba challenge and see that kind of challenge, and way worse, happens in most games with no red, I don’t know what to tell you. My issue is that Pogba wasn’t sent off for the challenge itself, he was sent off because Keita got injured from it. Not every 2 foot challenge results in a red, nor should it, but y’all want to use the fact that the guy got injured as evidence for it being a red. That’s ridiculous

The point was that it was a dangerous enough tackle to result in a serious injury, therefore it is serious foul play and therefore subject to a red card. Again, studs up two footed tackle is always a red, there is plenty of precedent in the league to support that decision. Don’t understand how you cannot comprehend that.

Disregarding the 2-footed challenge entirely, just his foot going completely above the ball and into Keita's shin would've been enough to send Pogba off.

That’s not what happened though. His top foot clearly hit the ball solidly.

Either way it’s stupid to keep arguing about this

Please elaborate what's going on in this video if you don't think Pogba's studs go right into Keita's shin.

How many times do we have to tell you ball first does not matter?

It’s stupid to argue, but the stupidity is clearly one sided.

Twitter on fire about Ole getting sacked. Any preferences for new manager?

Probably still too early in the season to just name an interim. I'd like ten Hag but he's not going to leave mid season. Looks like Conte or Zidane could possibly be options but like SCH said, we know how the Conte thing would end and I don't really even know if Zidane is a good manager.

Wait do you seriously not see Pogba’s top foot hit the ball first and roll up into Keita’s shin?

Not debating the Red at this point because there’s just no point. But you really think Pogba’s top foot misses the ball entirely?

What I don’t get is the better squad has got the worse and more lazy tactically he is

Telling dudes to just play inspired isn’t a tactic

Where is the OGS when we beat City 2-0 before the pandemic

I have no energy to catch up and watch a replay of Sunday

It had to be Goldbridge. The Glazers need to stop fricking around and hire Conte so we might win something
