Got it. Thanks for the link.

It does seem weird that the person for the hospital got the number so wrong the first time.

RSV is rampant here in MS (West Mississippi) and symptoms are very, very much like covid.

Same here to be sure, and I do not rule this out as a possibility. I was just sharing the article.

RSV is very much worse than covid for children

What is a trans child? These were just children according to the article.

I dont want kids to be in the hospital for covid but not sure what youre trying to prove by the numbers of one hospital in Louisiana

I want to be clear in stating I for one agree, and so is the flu. We do not act this way societally for either of them. My biggest issue with this pandemic is the disruption it causes and I am sick of it. If they keep reporting children are dying then it will just get worse again. To me that is why some of these things matter.

Lol. “I’m just reporting on the reporting because I’m concerned with how some people will take the reporting but I don’t think anyone will be concerned by the reporting.”

So, it is not zero children dying from COVID, it is statistically zero (and I'm not making light about the death of anyone from this Chinese biological weapon)?

Duly noted.

Ok. That's 2. Still, kids have shown a remarkable ability to fight off major negative consequences in Covid infections.

Two deaths isn't very statistically significant in light of the huge footprint of the virus.

I really do not understand what your problem is here. Yesterday people were saying no children had been reported as dying in Arkansas and I agreed. Today I shared this article to update what is being reported. I am not in control of the news, the hospitals, the testing, or anything else other than myself here. I am also not trying to influence the broader public by posting something on a message board. If someone is influenced by something someone posts here then they should reevaluate their life.

I personally want this to be over one way or another, and I do not think it will be as long as cases are rising and deaths among children tick up—even just a little. Do I 100% know if these kids or any in the future 100% died (or will die) from Covid? No, but it also is irrelevant. What is relevant is how society reacts more broadly.

I am not claiming anything related to statistical significance. Any discussion of children dying in the news is going to be substantively significant, whether anyone wants it to or not.
