Because LSU would either wind up in a pseudo Big 8 division, or they would go to pod scheduling which is just a complete ridiculous idea.

More is not always better, and this is easily one of those cases. I honestly don't know why anyone in the entire conference would want this.

If it means more $$$ - then it's going to be hard for any school to turn that down.

This is what I am most worried about. Just think about telling an LSU fan in 1990 that in the 2020s LSU will be in a division with 5 Big 8/SWC teams and Miss St and Ole Miss. I can be convinced if a good pod system is implemented, though.

I even say this as an LSU fan that now lives in Houston. This would bring more road games closer to me. I still don't want it. I know I don't matter, though. Money is all that matters.

its where its all headed anyway nap, the super conference model and cutting out the rent a wins.

I'm good with it, I'd rather more competitive games weekly and with the playoff expanding your margin for error widens anyway.

I miss the old model and parity within CFB but greed killed it so here we are

Personably I’d rather go back to the old 10 team SEC but since its already messed up we might as well go to 16.

In a weird way the pod thing would probably create more schedule rotation. LSU would probably have A&M, Ole Miss, and MSU on the schedule every year then rotate everybody else. We’d probably get to play teams like Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia more often.

what’s so wrong with pod scheduling? It insures we play every team more often than we do now and likely then we did before the addition of Aggey and great value tigers.

If you go back to the Big 8 here is what you get:
2 Big 8 schools (Oklahoma, Missouri),
3 Southwest Conference (Ark, Texas, Texas A&M)
3 SEC Schools (LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St.)
