We hire thousands of people every month, we can't ask for vaccination status or make hiring decisions based on vaccination status.

What we do is tell them if the customer they will be working for has a mandatory vaccination policy. Once they are onboarded, then they have to sign an acknowledgment of the policy and are subject to termination if they break it.

It's extremely inefficient, of course, we'd rather weed out those who aren't before we go through all the trouble to onboard them just to end up terminating them. But the law is the law and we have to follow it.

Don't take this personally but this is absolutely disgusting corporate behavior that is being allowed in this country.

Lawful or not.

I was simply asking from a legal standpoint. I agree that it would be ludicrous to make such decisions on those grounds in most cases, but there are exceptions depending of the type of job that is being filled. I, too, have hired 100s of people to work closely together under one roof in a large business.
I'm retired now, but if I weren't, I would seriously ponder the pros and cons of this topic.
