so what if he couldn't, its not like they're filming Les Misérables
I've been thinking about this lately. Jackass in 1999 arguably became the phenomenon it was because of massive substance abuse and stunts and shenanigans occurring resulting from that.
Shutting Bam out from "Jackass Forever" because he continues to struggle with his addiction seems like a total dick move. I get it but it really bums me out.

Yeah, no Bam, no Dunn, no Dico. Not sure if Yohn or Raab will participate. This could be without the entire "CKY crew."
Raab is listed as having participated

The bicycle into the giant photo was great for video... but, I can't believe he couldn't tell.
I have a feeling it was totally obvious and he knew the whole time, and did it anyway for laughter.

can't wait for this.
it always blows my mind that Spike Jonze has always been involved with this franchise.
Being John Malkovich, Where the Wild Things Are, Her........Jackass

a used copy on Amazon or Ebay is less than 5 bucks, and worth it just for the doc he did on Fat Lip of Pharcyde.. plus Christopher Walken does audio commentary for Weapon of Choice

Different time periods as well. And I think there was a difference between their abuse then and Bam’s now. It’s really starting to affect his already damaged psyche.
Another thing is that most of the other guys, while still crazy and immature, are mostly clean after being abusers. Why would they want to be around that temptation again?

Can’t wait, sucks it’s only in theaters to start.

I mean, I guess none of them died making this, seeing as how we'd have heard by now.

Should have let Bam participate.
I know he's a moron, but he deserves to be there. Bad enough Ryan isn't there.
Bam is a pussy, he would have just cried every time they asked him to do anything remotely painful

Bam has always been a little bitch. I can only imagine what it would be like for everyone to be sober around an intoxicated diva like him.
That said, that clip of the furniture store from the trailer has me in tears

After seeing Bam basically turn into his dad because of his substance abuse in recent years, I thought maybe participating in a new Jackass movie would, in a sort of beautiful irony, cure him.
But nope, dude is just a POS. Dunn clearly wasn’t an indicator of good judgment, but even he’d be ashamed of Bam right now.
Stinks watching guys that you loved as a kid fall apart as life goes on, but oh well. This movie will be awesome without him.

I'm a little surprised people are lamenting Bam's absence from the movie so much. I love Jackass, and realize he was a major piece of the whole thing, but he was the try-hard tool of the ensemble.
It sucks he has hit rock-bottom, but his on-screen contribution likely would've been sad to watch had he been allowed to stay. It'll likely be funnier without him.
