People moving to Texas and not getting a Texas ID is an epidemic

I know of more than a handful of idiots that moved to Texas from Louisiana that still, some after several years, still have a Louisiana ID, and are paying Louisiana income tax.
Giving away 5% of your money for God knows what reason. Makes zero sense.
Yes, this is a useless observation I made and after 30 seconds of thought realized its fairly common.

Go through a lot of neighborhoods in Baton Rouge in lower income areas and if you checked all the Texas plates I bet they are illegal plates.

It's more work than showing up to LA DMV and their xerox machine giving instant ID. I remember having the paper ID in Texas for 3 weeks while real one got made - carried passport everywhere during that time.

If you have a Louisiana ID, Louisiana is going to assume you have residence in the state and as such subject to state income tax.

Why would you do this? There’s literally no benefit in keeping Louisiana status over Texas
