Don't be surprised if sponsorship coordinator is the next big thing in college football

As next year's batch of elite athletes get ready to sign in less than a year, don't be surprised if the elite programs create sponsorship coordinator positions on their staff. In the "old" days, the elite athletes wanted to go to the program that could get them to the NFL, but now parents/players want to go to a program that can make them money now and also get them to the league. I wouldn't be surprised if these sponsorship coordinators join coaches on the recruiting trail to make presentations for the parents/players. This new NIL legislation has become larger than anyone ever imagined and I think sponsorship coordinators are going to become a necessity to compete in the wild world of recruiting!

This what I have been saying from the beginning of this shite. As hard as it is to recruit now we will have to put together packages for top athletes. I would rather pay em under the table

Good for them. Whatever helps LSU stay ahead of the game.

They are going to need an accounting department so these athletes do not end up in tax trouble.

This is 100000000% already happening. I read an article the other day about Kentucky basketball’s NIL pitch. They have stuff down to the number. Average price per post. Average exposure and likely follower increases. Etc etc etc. Basically, this is how much you can make now at kentucky versus other schools, and this is how much coming to kentucky can increase your exposure in comparison to other schools. And not just generic platitudes—they’re talking actual real numbers.

Thought the schools can’t help out with the deals.

The schools cannot be openly involved in the deals the players make using their NIL. Once the deal is done they can help them with content if the state’s law allows it.
It’s not larger than anyone thought. It’s going exactly how most people involved expected it to go.

If nothing else there has to be someone who can let players know who they CAN'T sign with due to sponsorship conflicts...
