Is this strictly going off of what they did in college? If so then I understand why DJ Lemahieu was left off. He was only at LSU for two seasons. I think number one should be Todd Walker.

Aaron Nola too low.
He easily above Bregman (did they forget Bregman’s sophomore year?).
And Furniss should be ahead of Bregman as well.

If so Jared Poche’ should have a spot.

Replace Ben McDonald with Chad Ogea.

Agreed, nola is top 2, and furniss should easily be top 4

Umm, nah, great player, but nah

That's cyborg numbers.
His one year power and production totals are better than some guy's careers.
Take a look at that team...a freshman on that team had 89 hits, 23 doubles, 15 HR, 4 SBs, .450 OBS, .353 BA,17 less SO's and 7 less errors
Its hard to look at Larson's numbers in a vacuum. Yes, they are monstrous but so were alot of peoples that season

Ahem...Brandon Larson

Walker/Furniss should probably be 1/1a.
So many good pitchers to choose from.
Mahtook and Duplantis shouldn't be top 50.

Todd Walker would be 1 on my list.

A lot of people hit 12 or 15. Four people have hit 40 in a season ever in NCAA.

Mahtook is pretty underrated when you consider the bats those teams used at the end of his career and he still crushed. Top 25 guy for sure

Didn’t have overpowering stuff, didn’t project well to the next level. But was a 4 year player and has most wins in program history. If we’re basing this list off of career at LSU only he’s on my list.
A highly-touted southpaw who earned 39 career wins from 2014-17 to become LSU’s all-time pitching victories leader … posted a 39-13 career mark and a 3.02 ERA with 127 walks and 287 strikeouts in 416.2 innings … started 70 games on the mound, which is also an LSU record.

I came here just to see where Nola was ranked. Absolutely awesome to have an automatic win on Fridays.
Wanted to add that he is absolutely ahead of Bregman, IMO.

There is no way anybody's top 10 list will be the same. Too many great college players played @ the Box thru the years. Top 5 I can understand. Once you get past that 5, there are just too many Top 10 finalists to name just 5 of them.

The order of this is suspect as frick. Bregman was good but he never had close to the numbers or accolades to compare. He gets too much love simply because of his talent.
1. Todd Walker
2. Ben McDonald
3. Aaron Nola
4. Eddy Furniss
5. Blake Dean
6. Alex Bregman
7. Brad Cresse
8. Ryan Patterson
9. Kevin Gaussman
10. Mikie Mahtook

Yes, only 4 people has ever done it and another did it the same year and two more hit 33 or more in'97 too. The game was just different then. It's not a knock on Larson's season at all...it was unreal.
In that one season he was one of the best in the game but LSU has had other All Americans for a season that also contributed to other seasons as well (a few for 3 or 4 years). I personally don't hold higher value in that one season than someone who contributed for 3 or 4 seasons

I don't take any list seriously that doesn't have Antoine Duplantis on it.
