I just finished it and I think they knocked this one out of the park. I loved it. It felt a little like deadpool in the sense that the entire movie was fun. John Cena had me laughing a few times, he's got that Dave Bautista as drax type humor down.

HQ is the closest thing to Deadpool that the DCEU has, and she's glorious.

Just finished and loved it, easily one of DC’s best imo. Funny throughout and gave me some serious Deadpool vibes. Hard to really name a single stand out, there were honestly a few. I’d love to see several of these characters, and James Gunn, back in the fold.

I was laughing the whole time but the weasel bit really popped me, so unexpected.

I’m not trying to start crap but that’s a pretty low bar. I wanted to like this. It’s just so weird.

I dunno. I wasn’t too impressed with it. It’s a B- for me.

It seemed a lot like they were pressing too hard with the violence. It became more meaningful at the climax, which is what you want, though.

Don’t get me wrong. I know what I’m getting into with a Suicide Squad movie. I get that there’s violence. I just don’t really get why the director thinks I should revel in it as a viewer or think it’s funny and flip. Violence ordinarily has gravity. When it doesn’t, nothing else does either.

I feel like I watched a different movie than everyone else in this thread. The only thought could be is compared to the rest of the DCEU, it was decent.

Tries too hard to be deadpool with the jokes. It uses a dated villain mode that isn't helped by cgi.

My daughter laughed the whole time and I normally enjoy 14 year old teenager jokes, but it was just forced from the start.

Sylvester Stallone as King Shark was PERFECT.

Wow how did I not connect those dots sooner??

I saw his name in the opening credits and was like who the hell is he playing? After the movie, I was like I wonder who they got to voice King Shark?

lol what? 2 of the villains are humans and the other is a gigantic arse pink and blue starfish. How the hell do you expect them to film that?

R rated Guardians of the Galaxy.

Maybe a lazy comparison because of James Gunn’s involvement but frick it, that’s how I felt. And I mean that in a good way - such a fun movie and you actually care about the characters in this one (should go without saying that this is a desirable effect but the first version didn’t get that memo)

This was Gunn with no limits. And it was glorious.

I get the appeal of why he would want to do something like this. No way marvel let’s him pull some crazy shite like this.

It was miles better than the first but that's not saying much. I'd give it a C-, it had some funny parts but I'll never watch it again. I can watch GoTG, Ragnarok, Avengers, IW over and over. Best part of the movie was King Shark for me. Elba was pretty good but I'm sick of HQ and sick of Viola Davis character it's way too over the top. The giant starfish was dumb and being killed by rats was dumb as well but at the same time at least Gunn tries different things. I think the bottom line for DC is that except for Batman most of their characters are boring especially compared to Marvel's.

I liked it but didn't love it. Certainly much better that the first. There was parts that dragged a little which took me out of the moment.

Idris Elba was fantastic. He reminding me very much of Billy Butcher right down to the voice and brooding.

I thought Harley Quinn was going to be over exposed but I really thought she nailed it.

The Millennial was hilarious. I have a 24 year old daughter and her mannerisms were something I could relate too.

I hade to pinch my nose with John Xina but he did a good job.

It's not a film I'll be re-watching over and over but it was fun.

The Starfish was something you would see in a Doctor Who Episode. Very Cheezy. But the movie is cheezy.
