I think the running gag that had the theater laughing the most was Polka dot man's mom.

Pretty good tiers, although I’d move Dawn of Justice up to second tier.

I didn't laugh the first time. I just felt horrible for the guy. Gunn did a fantastic job with that.

There needs to be a lower level for WW84. Like an "others receiving votes" section.

It does have the singular honor of being the only lower tier film that cannot put the blame on studio intervention.

It subverted my expectations far more than any others they've released. I expected there to be a drop off from the first film, but not that far.

That was great Also, the scene where bloodsport and Peacemaker wipe out all those people that turn out to be the good guys got a big laugh.

I was about to say WTF but I realized you were talking about WW. Just finished and I can’t see how anybody would have liked SS more than tSS but misunderstood.

All in all extremely entertaining. The accidental killing of the rebel village made me laugh more than anything even though it’s extremely dark.

this was a riot - but i think it was really made funnier by Idris and Cena basically having a "who has the bigger Dick" contest on kills.

I know they aren’t the same character (although they pretty much are lol ) but the difference between Will Smith and Idris might’ve been one of the biggest swings between the two movies

They let Idris be a scumbag that you wanted to root for, while Will Smith in the first one was a guy who they said was a villain but for the entire movie he acted as a super hero that’s just doing what needs to be done to get out. Not nearly as effective for this kind of material

And I’m not tuned into the comic book versions so I assume there’s some sort of reasoning behind this but I was confused (maybe just too high and didn’t notice) but earlier in the movie they show Weasal Die and then reveal an alive weasel in their labs. But then “reveal” later that the weasel from the opening scene is actually alive and went to hide in the jungle

So are there two weasels or is something off?

I think the non-linear timeline caught you out.

One of the freedom fighters that got killed was waving his willy when he got shot.

I think that was part of Gunn's joke. He brings in a duplicate of the Will Smith character, then brings in another duplicate with Peacemaker. Then has the characters riff on the absurdity of it all.

He's lucky Peacemaker didn't eat it, just to prove a point.

That makes sense. The first 20 minutes of the movie almost comes off as a complete satire of the first movie, they were making it so clear that they weren’t going to do the overcomplicated intros and weren’t going to make it into a lifeless DC product with no sense of humor

A “smaller bullet contest,” but yes. That added to the scene.

When they were running from the C4 I was thinking “wtf is he still doing around?”

Then realized it was a plot device.
